Why Liberals are Evil

Written By: admin - Oct• 22•04

Here is a view that is sure to stir things up. From a study conducted by PIPA:

“The roots of the Bush supporters’ resistance to information,” according to Steven Kull, “very likely lie in the traumatic experience of 9/11 and equally in the near pitch-perfect leadership that President Bush showed in its immediate wake. This appears to have created a powerful bond between Bush and his supporters–and an idealized image of the President that makes it difficult for his supporters to imagine that he could have made incorrect judgments before the war, that world public opinion could be critical of his policies or that the President could hold foreign policy positions that are at odds with his supporters.”

This seems to confirm a feeling I have regarding the liberal-conservative dynamic, which leads me to postulate the following on why Liberals are truly Evil.

Of course, the conservative usually views the liberal as a self-centered individual; someone who is more interested in ends than means, and who is very likely agnostic or even atheist. But this is not why Liberals are Evil.

Liberals are Evil because, when they tell the truth, God-fearing Conservatives won’t believe them. Conservatives would rather be blindly mislead by a man of purported moral character, than to hear the truth from an atheist.

Liberals are the only kind of people I know who can mislead simply by telling the truth. They are like great beacons of light, illuminating nothing.

I say it’s time for conservatives to accept reality, even if it comes from the enemy.

Ok, let me have it.

  1. Have at you, knave!

Heh. All things considered, I agree with you totally. There is most definitely something to the “true believer” ethos there, but I would go farther and suggest that it applies to both sides of the pseudo-ideological divide between Liberal and Conservative. It’s insonorous note is heard coming from the so-called religious right as well as from the militant feminist/socialist/radicalist/your-categorization-here.

Isn’t it human nature to assume when you “know” something that others are not evidencing in their behavior, you immediately try to “teach” them that which you purport to “know”? Is human nature also not evident when this “truth” which the teacher “knows” is rejected, that the teacher believes the rejector to be morally inferior, because he is rejecting the acquired knowledge so magnanimously bestowed?

You most certainly hit the nail on the head when you pinned it as a Liberals vs. “God-fearing Conservatives” ideology mismatch. The flip side is that Republicans and other conservatives are just as “Evil” as the Liberals are branded. Just look at a few of the “Bush=Hitler” posters and you’ll get my meaning.

So there are “Liberals” who can mislead by telling the truth due to the fact that there are those who won’t believe a word said “Liberals” say because of perceived moral shortcomings. And the complete opposite is true also.

I guess neither side necessarily has a “monopoly” on “truth” or on “Evil” or on anything else. It must be time for everyone to take a harder, longer look at what is being said and really do the work to understand it. Ending a debate due to a difference of opinion is acceptable, but only if it is clear to both sides that the issue isn’t over “truth” but one’s interpretation of it. Arguing about truth doesn’t alter it one bit.

On a side note: Conservatives, particularly the so-called religious right, seem to affix a seal of approval on a candidate based solely on a percentage score from a “does this candidate have the same values as myself on issue #1, #2, #3…#n” type test. The higher the percentage, the more guaranteed the vote. Once selected, said candidate seems to be incapable of wrongdoing, having a morally superior stance. Of course, how could it be otherwise? The candidate has values so in line with the voter’s…

  2. The combination of sincerity and sarcasm, mixed with the meta-cognitive commentary, is overwhelming my tiny little brain. Does … not … compute …

I think you’re saying that you don’t really think Liberals are Evil, but that they become so because Conservatives think they are, and that Conservatives should be willing to accept the truth even when it is spoken by an enemy. Did I understand correctly?

Incidentally, this reminds me of recent surveys claiming that most Americans want their president to be a believer, even if he believes in a different religion. The assumption that atheists are morally inferior is interesting. The few atheists that I have known have been much more obsessively honest and concerned with justice than most believers I know. Maybe we need more atheists in government :) Truth be told, however, I’m not sure that there are more true atheists on the liberal side than there are on the conservative side. All the die-hard ones I have known were Objectivist/Libertarian types.

  3. Yeah, this was a pretty hard one for me to digest as well… but I basically took it the same way that Carl did.

It’s a good point, and one that hit a bit close to home for me… y’see, I don’t classify myself as a Republican or Democrat b/c I think that there is trash on both sides of the aisle… but I do see myself as a Conservative, and generally (in most ways) a Conservative (though with very strong Libertarian aspects in certain areas)…

Anyways, I generally agree that I often mentally label a liberal as morally inferior to the point that when they say something even though it might be true and I acknowledge that in my mind, I have noticed it is immediately followed up with thoughts of doubt about their true intentions, their honesty in the matter, etc…

I think that there are plenty of HARD-lefters that have contributed to that programming in my brain though, and I think they are to blame at least just as much as I am myself… currently Moore is the one that stands out the most with his blatent lies (even if there is some truth mixed in on occassion) and his obvious deceipt… you can’t trust anything that guy says b/c most of it is pure garbage and I personally feel like he does it 100% for money… that being said then, it’s easy to mentally connect the dots to other liberals (even if they are actually themselves honest and decent) b/c they support him and have him give talks in their name, etc, etc, etc… Now, I am not mentally picking on all Dem’s here… over recent months I have come to realize how many actually good Dem’s there are in the Congress. And no, I am not just talking about Sen. Miller.

I guess by and large the liberals in Hollywood are the ones that have so polarized my view of your average liberal… perhaps, as people say, Hollywood really shouldn’t be giving their political views out in public… ‘cuz now look, I tend to see ALL liberals as evil just b/c hollywood is mostly liberal and they are so many twisted, immoralized turn-coats!

Oh yeah, and on a side-note about atheists… my mother-in-law is a pretty hard-core atheist, she is a liberal democrat through and through. You wouldn’t know it on FIRST meeting her though: plainly-dressed, loves to do craft work and sit at home, her dad was a big-time hunter and she has several of the animals that he mounted around her home, she lived in SLC, UT for many years and really likes Utah. When you ask her where she went to college: BYU, full-ride scholarship. It’s pretty funny. But she’s a strong democratic liberal, and I know she is a good honest woman… so, there you have it, one example to counter all the hollywood trash… it’s just so hard for me to keep all their obnoxious images out of my head.

Oh, and a last note on this issue: one other reason that I tend to view democratic liberals as morally inferior to me is what I observe on the “deck plates” here in the Navy. Obviously the military is strong Conservative Republican, but not all of us are. And almost invariably when politics come up, the ones who are on the liberal democratic ticket are almost always the same ones who preach things like “I don’t care if someone else has to go to Iraq, but *I* don’t want to go…” or “haha… sorry YOU have to do that, but *I* don’t and won’t!”… they are the selfish, self-centered types, they are the types that very often you find out they LIED in order to get a benefit that they didn’t deserve (it is common to see them getting “married” to a friend back home just so that they can make extra money that is supposed to go towards them getting an apartment and living as a married couple should… but instead they send her half the extra money and they pocket the other half… DISHONESTY at it’s core!) And when I notice that I decide to challenge them on the reasons that they are voting for a particular liberal or a particular democrat or WHY they are voting against a particular cons. or Rep. and you know what??? They are usually some of the most UN-educated people I talk to about politics… they don’t know WHY they follow that line, they just spew some one-line trash that they obviously have heard a million times on CNN or more likely MTV and that’s it. If you try and break down the issues and get into beliefs even further, they can’t do it and they get upset and just start talking about something else or accuse you of thinking that you are always right. It’s so aggrevating… and I personally walk away with the notion that dem. liberals don’t know why they believe what they believe and that in general they are just a bunch of selfish, lazy punks who don’t want to educate themselves and elect to just believe in a system that will GIVE them hand-outs and freebies in life.

I know it’s not always correct, but that is the sort of thing that I see a LOT and how can I help but be influenced by it???

Maybe it’s time for all of us to figure out how to start coming more to the middle… we are too polarized for our own good, and Hollywood sure ain’t helping out the situation!

  4. Octavio Sanchez says:

Thoughts, feelings, memories.. none can be proven to exist, all of reality is faith.
You believe that you are receiveing input from your senses. Your belief is an unprovable faith.
You believe what you choose to believe.
Hell is a place without reason.
Liberals say Bush and Cheney are evil.
Liberals roll their cynical eyes when Dubya says “evildoers” and they claim there is no such thing as evil.
Then they say Bush and Cheney are evil.
    repeat cycle
    No reason= Hell.
Cynacisim is the end of Hope.
No reason + No hope = Liberals.

  5. Rod says:

What scares the hell out of liberals is to be confronted by someone with a moral compass. The poor old liberals have had their moral sense atrophied. They have suffered death by a thousand nuances, and can no longer think straight or take any decisive action. All they want to do is huddle around each other and share the confusion, like with the Global Test.

And they get so very angry when confronted with anyone acting out of moral conviction. So turn off your brain, accept the LLL drivel from your teachers and the elite media. If there are any problems blame America first and/or the Jews. Very soon you will feel all warm and morally superior to all those quaint little people who believe in right and wrong.

  6. ep says:

Rod and octavio your out of line. I come from a very strong religiouse and morl background and I consider myself a liberal. I despise people who use religion in polotics. And I feel many poloticians these days use it as a tool to pull votes. If that isn’t immoral I don’t know what is.

If you need to be saved go to church. If you have a problem getting to church go to congress.

  7. Matt says:

I believe that religion and politics should be seperate, because first, we live in a multi-cultural society, and preaching one religion wouldn’t be fair to the rest of the people in the country. Second, ep is right, religion is used to pull votes, and that is wrong by any standards. And third, religion is fixed, unchanging. Politics constantly changes and evolves. It would be unfair to society. After all, by the rules of religion, being gay is wrong. But now, we accept that homosexuality is quite normal, and not a sin. I am personally a liberal, but really I don’t care much for any side. They’re both annoyingly corrupt. However, when it comes down to it, I will always choose the guys that wish for progress, human rights, peace, and of course, the environment, and right now, that’s the liberals. Peace

  8. wt standard says:

Your basic premise that liberals are offering the truth is flawed, because as you state, most liberals are atheists or agnostics. Belief in God is the beginning of truth because God is truth.

God made the world and all that is in it (including all the people). God is good and his opposition is evil. You are either a follower of the good or of the evil.

Your supposition that liberals are evil is 100% correct because they have rejected the good and chosen to believe the lie and follow the evil one.

Liberal may sit around chanting MAKE LOVE NOT WAR,MAKE FREINDS NOT ENEMIES but they sure dont practice it their the ones who are intolerent and the liberal left-wing news media wont ever tell us the truth

  11. angry_liberal says:

    very nice post.
unlike all of the other 1,000,000,017 political blog posters in the universe, you figured out how to get your specific point across without infuriating 50% of america. we need more people smart enough to do that.

Hey Dumbass you jack monkey liberals are just dumb as a freaking rock. Go to Europe LMAO!!!
President Barack Obama said in Turkey : “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.”
    I found this very interesting.

  13. Still getting comments after all these years…

  14. Mr Truth says:

The real sad truth is both Repulicans AND Liberals are completey retarded.

Repulicans are retarded as they dont’ do what they say while Liberals are Assholes and Retarded combined.

Liberals don’t do what they say while being retarded about it and making it sound like every law they pass is nothing but positive and that Mr O is ‘The Messiah’ to them.

Anybody who doesn’t pay attention needs their heads examined and should realize all that Obama has gotten the most attention/praise out of ALL the Presidents COMBINED and has done so far ABSOLUTLY NOTHING positive in protecting the Consitution.

Hell he wants to sign a treaty to another country that will allow the Consitution to be over ridden with the Cap and Trade which isn’t fair taxes at all while nobody gets to vote.

That’s why there are lots of protests because those people don’t get a say-so in the matter.

You Liberals need to either step down or get shot down.

  15. Mr Truth says:

And the real kick in the pants is that Bush Senior said ‘Read my lips I will LOWER taxes’ and the first thing he did in Offfice was raise the taxes sky high.

Then Bush Junior lowerd taxes but in the wrong end.

The rich people buying/investing is what has keeped America floating and if they hear impending doom they are not going to invest.

Liberals are even worse as they think they can get free trade with all the world but don’tw ant to admit that China uses slaves for workers which is why all our technology is crap.

And do we do anything about it?

NO! We just spend like a drunken sailor to up-size the already broken Goverment which is TRILLIONS in debt and we pass laws that only help things in the short term rather then the long term.

Liberals look for treating the symptoms but not addresss the causes.

I made fun of Bush on purpose because that’s what it takes for Liberals to read a political comment if there is a snide remark about a Repulican and don’t want to admit their own faults.

  16. Mr Truth says:

For everything we buy we help China prosper and America fall.

But it’s what you want and I hope you are happy and you guys really need to stop bitching because you all now have what you want so LET’S PARTY!!

  17. Mr Truth says:

    *Test* Bush.

Seems to me any comments that has the word Bush in it is sent in right away while the comments with the President O in it gets moderated as if the author doesn’t want anything critic about him posted.
    :P :(
